1 John 2:3-4 (RSVCE)
3 And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments.[a] 4 He who says “I know him” but disobeys his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him; |
What are His commandments, according to the Catholic Scripture (Word of God).
1 John 3:23 (RSVCE)
23 And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. |
God apparently didn't command the keeping of Tradition, according Catholic Scripture.

Strange view of grace
Grace by simple definition is getting something undeserved. Yet the Church says the grace of Jesus allows you do "good works" to merit(earn) salvation. Again let us see what Scripture says earning salvation. |
Romans 6:23 (RSVCE)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Acts 8:20-21 (RSVCE) 20 But Peter said to him, “Your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!" 21 You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. Ephesians 2:8-9 (RSVCE) 8 For by grace you have been saved through FAITH; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God -- 9 NOT BECAUSE OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. Titus 3:5 (RSVCE) 5 he saved us, NOT BECAUSE OF DEEDS DONE BY US IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit, |
Scripture corrects us by saying salvation is a "free gift of God", unearnable by works and unbuyable with money.
But I'm a GOOD person. God won't send me to Hell?
Many people think they are good people and God won't send them to Hell because we feel we are good. However the Scripture say the opposite.

Psalm 14:3 (RSVCE)
They have all gone astray, they are all alike corrupt; there is NONE THAT DOES GOOD, no, not one. Psalm 53:3 (RSVCE) They have all fallen away; they are all alike depraved; there is NONE THAT DOES GOOD, no, not one. Ecclesiastes 7:20 (RSVCE) 20 Surely there is NOT A RIGHTEOUS MAN on earth WHO DOES GOOD and never sins. Romans 3:10-11 (RSVCE) 10 as it is written: “NONE IS RIGHTEOUS, no, not one; 11 no one understands, no one seeks for God. |
What is needed to be SAVED?
The Catholic Church says in order to be saved you need the 7 Sacraments(Baptism[Infant Baptism], Eucharist[Communion], Reconciliation[Penance], Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, Anointing of the Sick[Last Rites]), Mary & saint adoration, etc to be saved and even then it is a sin(Sin of Presumption) to know you are saved. So all Catholic Church can offer is uncertainty with its recipe for salvation that they SUPPOSEDLY got from Scripture. What does the Catholic Scripture say is God's way for anyone to be Saved?

John 3:36 (RSVCE) [ John the Baptist speaking]
36 He who BELIEVES in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him. John 3:16-18 (NRSVCE) [Jesus speaking to Nicodemus] 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM are not condemned; but THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God. Mark 16:16 (RSVCE) [Jesus speaking the Great Commission] 16 He who BELIEVES and is baptized will be saved; but he who does NOT BELIEVE will be condemned. John 6:40 (RSVCE) [ Jesus speaking] For this is the will of my Father, that EVERY ONE who sees the Son and BELIEVES IN HIM should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 14:1 & 6 (RSVCE) [ Jesus speaking] 1 “Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me Acts 16:31 (RSVCE) [Paul speaking] And they said, “ BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS, AND YOU WILL BE SAVED, you and your household.” Acts 4:10-12 (RSVCE) [Peter speaking] 10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him this man is standing before you well. 11 This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, but which has become the head of the corner. 12 And THERE IS SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 8:36-38 (RSVCE) 36 And as they went along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What is to prevent my being baptized?”[a] 38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. [a] (omitted but in footnotes) 37 And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he replied, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” Romans 10:9 (RSVCE) [Paul wrote this] 9 because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Ephesians 1:13 (RSVCE) In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had BELIEVED IN HIM, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit; 1 Corinthians 1:21 (RSVCE) For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach TO SAVE THOSE WHO BELIEVE. 1 John 5:13 (RSVCE) I write this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 Timothy 1:15-16 (RSVCE) 15 The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners; 16 but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example TO THOSE WHO WERE TO BELIEVE IN HIM FOR ETERNAL LIFE. 1 Timothy 2:5 (NRSVCE) For there is one God; there is also ONE mediator between God and humankind, CHRIST JESUS |
The Question for Catholics
If you haven't noticed by now, what we really have is two completely opposite recipes to be saved. And your eternal soul and destiny hangs in the balance. On the one hand we have the Catholic Church that claims it knows how to save you and on the other we have Scripture, God's inerrant word. Lets compare the two.
So my question to you is, who are you going to trust, the Church or God? If you'd like to do it God's way, then stop trying to get saved by works and put ALL your trust upon what Jesus did on Calvary ALONE. You can start by praying this prayer and BELIEVING IN JESUS ALONE.

- Church recipe believe in Jesus(but not really), PLUS 7 Sacraments(Baptism[Infant Baptism], Eucharist[Communion], Reconciliation [Penance], Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, Anointing of the Sick[Last Rites]), PLUS Mary & saint adoration, PLUS obeying all decrees given by the pope and the Catholic Church, PLUS saying the Rosary daily, PLUS perform meritorious works, PLUS not die with any mortal sins, PLUS a whole lot more and you only MIGHT BE saved. (Its a sin to know for sure)
- The Scriptures say believe in Jesus and you ARE saved.

Dear Lord God. I know I am a sinner and need your gift of salvation from my sins. I BELIEVE IN JESUS, the Son of God, as my personal Savior. I believe that His death on the cross and resurrection provides forgiveness for ALL my sins past, present, & future. Please forgive all my sins and come into my heart and life. I hereby trust in Jesus FINISHED WORK alone, and NOT upon me & my "good works", as sufficient to make me right with you and fit for Heaven. Please forgive ALL my sins and come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Seal me with your Holy Spirit until the day you come to take me home. In your Son Jesus’ name. Amen.
